Transportation for Residents with Alzheimer's

Some residents with Alzheimer's & Dementia are able to use the Public Transportation System.  Red Cross Wheels can transport clients until it becomes necessary for the rider to have someone with them at all times.  If the client is able to get in and out of the Red Cross vehicle unassisted and if he/she can be unattended at the appointment site, Red Cross will remain an appropriate mode of transportation.  As the disease process progresses, the resident can then be certified to be transported under the American Disabilities Act.  A companion can accompany a client under ADA transportation.
